Dudes: hair mist. This is an actual thing, apparently. Before you roll your eyes, just think about it: what is the one part of your body that actually retains your scent hours after you’ve put on perfume? Your hair! This makes sense, in a weird way!!! Or rather, it makes sense that you should maybe start spraying perfume into your hair in addition to your body, but why not take this opportunity to make a whole new product out of this (that you probably definitely don’t really need)???? So, I think most of you know that Vanessa and I like to troll CVS and Duane Reade for hours, ~~sometimes~~ often stopping to sniff men’s deodorant. It’s normal.

This is partially because we are fascinated by smelly things, and also because it’s like Memory Lane Central for ex-boyfriend smells. Yes, you heard me: we go through the aisle and pick out the deodorant that ‘Ol-Whats-His-Face used to wear, and then we smell it…and either laugh…or cry.

So anyway- here’s a deodorant that no one I have ever dated has worn, BUT I think it smells great, the stupid name makes me laugh…. and I hope no one ever shows any of my ex’s this blog, ever.

Have I ranted yet about this Lorac brow pencil yet? Oh I haven’t? Well Happy Tuesday to you, then.

Although (historically) I have not spent over $9 on a brow pencil, it occurred to me… that I should. The brow is what defines the eyes- nay, the entire face- plus you use it every single day. In other words you should be shelling out some extra money for something of great quality, which I had never done…until now.

This Lorac pencil is smooth, not sticky, and it has a really wonderful brow-brush at the other end. I admit I never used the brush side of an eyebrow pencil before this one. I don’t have the bushiest brows on Planet Earth, so I didn’t think that they ever got “unruly”. Boy was I wrong. Apparently brushing your eyebrows ALSO shapes the entire face. I went from looking like Early Madonna to Bambi Northwood Blyth in like, no time.

Buy this, it’s great. Oh and it’s not like it’s a zillion dollars..it’s just $20. BIG WHOOP.

What is BB Cream? Where are you supposed to put it? Why does it have a stupid mysterious acronym name? These are all important, valid questions, and if it makes you feel any better, I actually had to look up BB cream on Wikipedia because I was tired of pretending to know what it was.

Apparently it is all things in the universe in a tube. Seriously, Wikipedia defines it as “all-in-one facial cosmetic product to replace serum, moisturizer, primer, foundation, and sunblock.” But then it goes on to say that it can be used OVER serum or moistuizer. All of this is confusing and upsetting. This one claims to do 8 different things. That’s too many things!! Am I supposed to throw all of my products away now and buy BB cream for the rest of my life? WTF IS SERUM???? —V

You guys, holy shit! I was on a Sephora rampage last night and discovered something that may change my life forever: TokyoMilk’s roller perfume in “Tomorrow.” I have no clue why they had these on display on the bottom shelf tucked in a corner. Maybe it’s because they only want die-hard shoppers like myself to indulge in probably the most subtle yet complex scents they have in the joint. Tomorrow is my new jam - It’s basically like spraying yourself with sex and sophistication at the same time. There are other equally intriguing scents though… something for every hot chick.
